A 1' x 1' rebar grid is installed.
All the rebar is cut and bent on-site.

Every place the rebar crosses it needs to be wire-tied. Thank God for power tools!
To ensure the rebar is surrounded by the concrete we use brick to hold it up. We also use "chairs" to hold the rebar away from the walls.
One of the last items added before the shoot is the "keyway." This is the horizontal 2x4 at the top of the wall which creates a "shelf" on which the pool deck will sit.
