The "chairs" mentioned in the post on Rebar 3 are now in place, holding the rebar out from the wall. Also in place are bricks that hold the rebar up off the ground.
We set our screed boards along the floor to ensure a smooth & consistent transition from shallow to deep & to make sure all the water will flow to the main drains.
The steps are where we start the shoot. That way, we have an easy way in & out for the rest of the day. We frame them to ensure they meet specifications.
The concrete we use sets up fast. How fast? Those steps are a little more than an hour old, and we have removed the framing and are walking on them!
We make our way around the pool, shooting the walls from floor to top. Once the walls are done, we can move on to the floor.
The floor is screeded out. After the freshly poured floor has set up enough to walk on, we use a flat shovel to knock off the "bumps," giving the floor a rough but consistent base for the plaster.
